A fire at what authorities said was a marijuana growing operation at a one-story home in Northridge was extinguished Thursday.
Fire crews were called at 4:38 a.m. to 16930 W. Tupper St. east of Balboa Boulevard where they discovered the contents indicated there was a marijuana growing operation in the residence, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.
The fire extended to the roof of the home and Stewart said the Los Angeles Police Department was contacted to investigate.
A total of 30 firefighters extinguished the flames in 32 minutes.
No injuries were reported.
